Doug Puckett, current president of IU Health Morgan in Martinsville, Ind., has been named president of Avon, Ind.-based IU Health West Hospital, effective Oct. 5.
Here are three things to know about Mr. Puckett.
1. He has led IU Health Morgan for the last three years through its integration with the IU Health system and most recently on its transformation to an outpatient center with a focus on diagnostics, emergency care and wellness services.
2. Mr. Bailey's tenure at IU Health Morgan, then Bloomington Hospital, began in 1992. Since then, he has held various leadership positions, including CFO and COO. In 2010, he was promoted to CEO of IU Health Paoli (Ind.) Hospital, where he oversees all hospital operations at the 24-bed facility.
3. As news of Mr. Puckett's new position was released, IU Health Morgan also announced its new president – Larry Bailey. Mr. Bailey also serves as the president of IU Health Paoli (Ind.) and will continue to hold those responsibilities as he moves into this new role at IU Health Morgan. In his new role, he will continue the implementation of the new outpatient model of care at IU Health Morgan and lead the major renovation of the facility over the next several years.
