Allen Anderson has been appointed CEO and president of St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa.
Mr. Anderson was selected for the position after a nationwide search, according to an April 20 news release. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Anderson served as CEO and administrator of a Minnesota hospital, an interim CEO for another and vice president of support services and operations of Granite Falls (Minn.) Municipal Hospital and Manor.
"I am honored to accept the position as the President and CEO of St. Anthony Regional Hospital and am looking forward to working closely with employees, providers, and leaders to continue upholding the mission of providing quality care for our patients and communities," Mr. Anderson said in the release.
He will take up the new position on July 1 when current CEO and President Ed Smith will step down. Mr. Smith will aid in the transition.
