Inova Alexandria (Va.) Hospital selected Rina Bansal, MD, to serve as president, effective May 1.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Bansal has served as acting president since November 2018.
2. Previously, she was CMO at the hospital.
3. She has worked at Falls Church, Va.-based Inova Health System since 2008, serving in several leadership roles, including associate CMO at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Falls Church.
4. Dr. Bansal completed the MD-MBA program at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
