Pittsburgh-based Highmark Health appointed Tony Farah, MD, executive vice president, chief medical and clinical transformation officer, a newly established role.
Here are four notes:
1. Dr. Farah serves as president of Allegheny Clinic, Allegheny Health Network's employed physician organization. Pittsburgh-based AHN is a part of Highmark Health.
2. He is also CMO of AHN.
3. A cardiologist by training, Dr. Farah will be responsible for clinical transformation and developing innovative strategies for the Highmark organization.
4. For the time being, he will continue as both president of Allegheny Clinic and CMO of AHN until a successor is named.
