Joseph Bernard, CEO of Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring, Fla., has resigned, according to a Highlands Today report.
Here are three things to know Mr. Bernard's resignation.
1. The resignation comes more than one year after Mr. Bernard joined Highlands Regional.
2. Highlands Regional named Jack Montois, project CFO with Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, interim CEO following Mr. Bernard's resignation.
3. The medical center is now searching for a permanent CEO. John McCoy, director of marketing for Highlands Regional, told Highlands Today the search process would begin immediately.
