HealthEast Care System, based in St. Paul, Minn., has named Doug Davenport as senior vice president and CFO, effective March 17.
Mr. Davenport comes from Navigant Consulting, where he was director of the healthcare practice. His main areas of expertise at Navigant were operations, accounting, financial reporting, corporate finance, restructuring and business unit strategy.
Previously, Mr. Davenport served as CFO of several hospitals and health systems, including Benefis Health System, a two-hospital system based in Great Falls, Mont. He has more than 25 total years of strategic finance experience in healthcare.
Mr. Davenport will replace Dan Kaye, who had been serving as interim CFO for more than a year after Mike Nass resigned in December 2012.
In fiscal year 2013, HealthEast generated more than $946 million in total revenue. The system includes three acute-care hospitals and one long-term acute-care hospital.
