Hawaii Health Systems, headquartered in Honolulu, has named Linda Rosen, MD, the new CEO beginning Dec. 16, according to a recent report in Pacific Business News.
Dr. Rosen currently serves as the director of the Hawaii State Department of Health. Prior to her appointment to that role, Dr. Rosen served as deputy director of health for Hawaii's health resources administration and medical director for the family health services division. She also worked as chief of the Emergency Medical Services and Injury Prevention System Branch, and was responsible for 911 ambulance services and trauma system development.
Dr. Rosen specialized in pediatric intensive care, neonatology and emergency medicine at the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children's intensive care unit and emergency department in Honolulu for 17 years. Additionally, she was a full-time teaching physician at the University of Hawaii's John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu.
Dr. Rosen will succeed HHSC's interim CEO, Alice Hall.
