Houston-based Harris Health System has named Parikshet A. Babber, MD, as its new executive vice president and CMO.
Previously, Dr. Babber served as senior vice president of medical affairs for the safety-net healthcare system. As CMO, Dr. Babber will oversee quality, utilization management and medical staff services.
"As incoming [CMO], Dr. Babber's clinical acumen and energy, coupled with his focus on quality and patient safety, will help guide Harris Health to the next level of excellence in patient care," said George V. Masi, president and CEO of Harris Health System.
