Hancock County Health System CEO to resign: 4 notes

Britt, Iowa-based Hancock County Health System CEO/Administrator Jeff Stampohar is resigning, effective Jan. 26, according to a KIOW report.

Here are four notes:

1. Mr. Stampohar is leaving to take on the hospital administrator/CEO role at CHI LakeWood Health in Baudette, Minn.

2. He served as the helm of Hancock County Health System for two years.

3. During his tenure, Mr. Stampohar oversaw the launch of the HCHS Heart and Vascular Center and implementation of a pain management program.

4. Hancock County Health System's board of directors and Mason City-based Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, which helps manage the health system, are developing plans for interim leadership.
