HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley in Westwood, N.J., has named Emily Holliman CEO, according to NorthJersey.com.
Ms. Holliman will begin her new role in May. Most recently, Ms. Holliman served as CEO of Norwood (Mass.) Hospital, part of Boston-based Steward Health Care System.
The 128-bed Pascack Valley hospital was reopened two years ago as a joint venture between a Texas hospital company and Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center. The hospital, formerly bankrupt Pascack Valley Hospital, did not perform as well as expected following a lengthy battle to win state permission to reopen two years ago. Chad Melton, who had acted as the hospital's first CEO, managed the renovation and rebuilding of formerly bankrupt Pascack Valley Hospital, resigned in November. Mark Sparta has been serving as interim CEO.
