Georgia hospital names successor to ousted CEO

Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, Ga., has named Tyler Taylor CEO, WGAU reported.

He will succeed Kerry Trapnell, who was removed in June after contributing $25,000 in hospital funding to a non-candidate, independent political action committee. Tammy Harlow, RN, the hospital's COO, has been serving as interim COO.

Mr. Taylor most recently served as CEO of Waynesboro, Tenn.-based Wayne Medical Center. He is slated to begin his new role Feb. 17, according to the radio station.
