Randy White, president and CEO of Fayette Regional Health System in Connersville, Ind., has resigned amid the sale of the organization less than a year after its October 2018 filing for bankruptcy protection, according to the Connersville News Examiner.
Four things to know:
1. The organization's board president, Dan Parker, told the News Examiner that Mr. White's resignation had been expected as part of the sale of Fayette Regional Health System to Reid Health in Richmond, Ind.
2. Reid Health entered into an agreement to acquire a substantial portion of the assets of Fayette Regional Health System in May. The deal is expected to be finalized July 15.
3. Mr. White, who became CEO of the hospital 10 years ago, was a "a huge contributor" in the process of finding a buyer after the bankruptcy filing, said Mr. Parker.
4. Amanda Gilley, RN, chief nursing officer of Fayette Regional Health System, is serving as interim CEO.
