Worcester, Mass.-based insurer Fallon Health has appointed Thomas Ebert, MD, executive vice president and CMO, according to a Telegram & Gazette report.
Here are five things to know about Dr. Ebert.
1. He has more than two decades of experience as a managed care physician executive.
2. He was CMO at Health New England, a subsidiary of Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health.
3. Previously, he was also principal consultant at Premier, a Charlotte, N.C.-based provider-owned health services and consulting company, according to the report.
4. Dr. Ebert also practiced nephrology in Worcester for more than two decades, and was associate chief of medicine and director of the internal medicine residency training program at Worcester Memorial Hospital (now part of UMass Memorial Healthcare).
5. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.
