Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services has appointed Jaya Kumar, MD, chief medical officer, effective May 6.
Dr. Kumar most recently served as the CMO of Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colo., where she played a pivotal role in the hospital's COVID-19 response and helped the hospital achieve numerous safety and quality recognitions, including an "A" safety grade from The Leapfrog Group.
She also previously served as chief quality officer of HCA Healthcare's Medical City McKinney in Texas and as CMO of Mayhill Hospital in Denton, Texas, according to her LinkedIn page.
