Fairbanks (Alaska) Memorial Hospital and Denali Center selected Jim Lynch to lead as CEO, according to a Daily News-Miner report. He succeeds Greg Johnson, DDS, who resigned to take on a new opportunity.
Mr. Lynch has served as Fairbanks Memorial Hospital COO since 2016. He has worked at the hospital for 18 years, serving in a number of leadership roles, including chief human resources officer and CFO. He will assume his new role Dec. 15.
Dr. Johnson worked at the hospital for 30-plus years, serving as chief of staff and CMO before taking on the CEO role. On Jan. 1, the hospital's management transferred from Banner Health to Foundation Health Partners, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation. Dr. Johnson helped lead the transition, according to the report.
