Englewood (N.J.) Hospital and Medical Center has announced the appointment of Hillary Cohen, MD, as chief of emergency medicine.
In this role, Dr. Cohen will oversee the clinical and administrative operations of the emergency department, which sees nearly 50,000 patient visits a year.
Most recently, Dr. Cohen served as vice chairman for clinical operations at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Before that, she held clinical appointments in the emergency medicine departments at NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center in New York City and Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Center, also in New York City.
Additionally, Dr. Cohen serves as a technical consultant on international projects with the World Health Organizations. She has served on projects in numerous regions abroad, including Africa, Thailand and India, to deliver direct clinical care and participate in broader public health initiatives.
