Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia has appointed Ruth Lefton COO.
Here are five things to know about Ms. Lefton.
1. She has been part of Einstein Healthcare Network for more than two decades.
2. For the past 14 years, she served as COO of MossRehab in Elkins Park, Pa., Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park, and Willowcrest Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia. Before that, she was assistant vice president of MossRehab.
3. Some of Ms. Lefton's accomplishments during her tenure include: adding several million dollars to MossRehab's bottom line by opening four new inpatient and six new outpatient locations; relocating MossRehab's headquarters and 130 specialty rehabilitation beds from the Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia campus to the Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park campus; and increasing market share of inpatient volumes for MossRehab, according to hospital officials.
4. Outside of her work responsibilities, Ms. Lefton served as a board member, education committee chairwoman and a member of several ad hoc and standing committees for the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association; a board member of Allied Orthotics & Prosthetics; Conn-Kerr Cancer Center; and Fair Fund.
5. She is a former chairwoman of the board of the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania medical rehab division and is also former chairwoman of the Pennsylvania Association of Rehabilitation Facilities.
