Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare appointed Sonia Mehta, MD, regional CEO of Lower Bucks Hospital. She is also division II corporate CMO for Prime Healthcare.
Dr. Mehta came to Prime from Loretto Hospital in Chicago, where she served as CEO and CMO. She has also held leadership roles at Victory Medical Center in Stanley, Wis., Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Ill., and Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill., among others.
Dr. Mehta has 18 years of healthcare experience. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American College of Physician Executives and Illinois Hospital Association. She co-chairs IHA's Safety Net Committee.
Dr. Mehta completed a hematology/oncology fellowship at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Ill., as well as an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in Chicago.
