Dr. Lorrie Normand named president of Texas hospital: 4 things to know

Arlington-based Texas Health Resources has selected Lorrie Normand, DNP, as the next president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne, according to a Cleburne Times-Review report.

Here are four things to know about Dr. Normand.

1. Dr. Normand, the former interim president and CNO of Texas Health Cleburne, will continue her reporting relationship with leadership representing Texas Health Resources' Southwest Zone — a geographical area that encompasses significant portions of the Fort Worth, Arlington, Azle, Cleburne and Stephenville communities in Texas, according to the report.

2. She has served as interim president of Texas Health Cleburne since January when Blake Kretz, who served as president of Texas Health Cleburne since 2007, was named president of Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital.

3. She is overseeing the expansion of the hospital's women's services with the anticipated October opening of the Texas Health Cleburne Women's Breast & Wellness Center.

4. Prior to joining Texas Health, Dr. Normand was vice president of quality management and interim CNO for Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth. She has also served as CNO of Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kan.
