San Francisco-based hospital operator Dignity Health tapped Jahandar Saleh, MD, as president of medical staff at Northridge (Calif.) Hospital.
A cardiac specialist, Dr. Saleh joined the nonprofit acute care hospital in 2007 and has since served as chairman for its department of internal medicine, as well as director of its clinical decision unit and cardiac telemetry unit.
He pioneered the policy that was later instituted as the standard of care for patients being monitored remotely across all Dignity Health hospitals and helped found a hypothermia protocol that is now required by all Los Angeles ST elevation myocardial infarction receiving centers.
An author of research abstracts and articles, Dr. Saleh currently serves as an investigator for four active clinical trials.
