Hui Jiang-Saldana, MD, who was selected as COO of Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health, will no longer be able to take on the role due to a "personal family matter," a health system spokesperson confirmed to Becker's Hospital Review.
Catholic Health announced Dr. Jiang-Saldana's appointment in September, saying that she would assume the role in October. The health system has reopened its search for a COO, according to The Buffalo News.
The News also reports that she will be moving to Florida.
Dr. Jiang-Saldana was to succeed Mark A. Sullivan, who became Catholic Health's president and CEO in February 2018.
