Frank Vozos, MD, has been named executive vice president at West Orange, N.J.-based Barnabas Health, effective April 1.
Here are five things to know about Dr. Vozos.
1. He is currently president and CEO of Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, N.J., and Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, in Lakewood, N.J. He will remain in his role at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, in addition to his executive vice president role.
2. Dr. Vozos began his career at MMC in 1975 in a five-year residency program in general surgery.
3. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery.
4. He has served as program director of the general surgery residency program at MMC for 20 years and president of the hospital's 900-member medical and dental staff.
5. Bill Arnold, currently COO of MMC, will take over for Dr. Vozos as president and CEO of MMC. Mr. Arnold has served as COO of MMC since 2006 and has been with Barnabas Health in several capacities since 1994.
