Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system selected Alexander de Nesnera, MD, to serve as interim CMO and Gary S. Moak, MD, to become interim associate medical director at New Hampshire Hospital in Concord, according to a Union Leader report.
Dr. De Nesnera was the associate medical director at the hospital. He is also an associate professor of psychiatry at Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine. Dr. Moak was the chief of geriatric psychiatry at New Hampshire Hospital. Additionally, he is an assistant professor of psychiatry at the Geisel School of Medicine.
The state psychiatric hospital's former CMO David Folks, MD, has left, after serving in the role since 2008. He announced he was leaving in September 2016, days after Dartmouth-Hitchcock revealed plans to lay off between 270 and 460 employees by the end of the year. Dr. Folks did not say if his departure was in any way related to the layoffs and Dartmouth-Hitchcock CEO James Weinstein had said the layoffs will not affect New Hampshire Hospital employees.
