Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, N.C., has hired three new administrators, according to a WilmingtonBiz report.
Here are 12 things to know about the leaders.
Margaret Fontana was hired as controller.
1. Ms. Fontana has more than 15 years of experience in operations and financial management in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
2. Most recently, she served as CFO and COO of Tug River Health Association, a nonprofit agency based in Gary, W.Va.
3. She also previously held CFO and controller positions at David Raines Community Health Center in Shreveport, La., and Bath County Community Hospital in Hot Springs, Va, according to Dosher Memorial. Additionally, she was vice president and controller for Anthem Leather in High Point, N.C.
4. Ms. Fontana, a certified public accountant, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with an accounting degree.
Jennell Crump is Dosher Memorial's network revenue cycle manager.
5. Ms. Crump has 29 years of experience in healthcare financial services.
6. She previously worked in group annuity operations at MetLife in Charlotte, N.C., for two years.
7. She also previously was revenue cycle manager for Greensboro-based Cone Health Cancer Center and managed care contracting and professional fee billing for Moses Cone Healthcare in Greensboro.
8. Ms. Crump earned a bachelor's degree in communications, radio, TV and film from Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C.
Joseph Hook was hired as Dosher Memorial's new nursing center administrator.
9. Mr. Hooks has seven years of experience in healthcare and senior living.
10. Most recently, he was administrator of Shoreland Health Care and Retirement Center in Whiteville, N.C.
11. In his new role, he is employed by Dosher Memorial's clinical partner for skilled nursing care, Liberty Healthcare & Rehabilitative Services.
12. Mr. Hooks earned a bachelor's degree in health service management from East Carolina University in Greenville.
