Don Owrey will serve as COO of UPMC Susquehanna and president of UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport Regional Medical Center, both in Williamsport, Pa., effective Sept. 1.
Four points:
1. Mr. Owrey is currently president of UPMC Horizon in Greenville, Pa., and Farrell, Pa., and UPMC Jameson in New Castle, Pa.
2. He is the former executive director of Wexford, Pa.-based UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics.
3. He has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, beginning on the payer side.
4. Mr. Owrey holds an MBA from Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pa.
