Brookdale Hospital in New York City selected Dominick Stanzione to serve as president and CEO, effective Aug. 1, according to a Crain's New York Business report.

1. Mr. Stanzione currently serves as New York City-based Maimonides Medical Center's executive vice president and COO.
2. He has more than three decades of experience in healthcare management and leadership.
3. He succeeds Mark Toney, who oversaw Brookdale for more than five years.
4. Mr. Stanzione will take over at Brookdale at a key moment. The organization is forming a new alliance with Interfaith Medical Center and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, both based in New York City.
