Roger Howard, president and CEO of Lawrenceburg, Ind.-based Dearborn County Hospital, plans to retire next year, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.
Here are five things to know about Mr. Howard.
1. He will step down in June 2016.
2. He announced his retirement the same week the hospital announced plans to affiliate with Cincinnati-based TriHealth.
3. Of his decision to retire, Mr. Howard said, "June of next year will be an opportune time for me to retire, both from the hospital's perspective and my own," according to the Cincinnati Business Courier. He added, "By then, all the major work associated with the selection and implementation of the affiliation will be completed."
4. Mr. Howard has been CEO of Dearborn County Hospital of the hospital for more than three years.
5. Prior to that, he was director of clinical services and facilities at the hospital. In that role, he oversaw various departments, including internal medicine and rehabilitation services, as well as new construction, according to the report.
