Houston-based Harris Health System has named George Masi as interim president and CEO, effective July 9, according to an article in the Houston Business Journal.
Mr. Masi has been executive vice president and COO for Harris Health System since 2005. He will replace David Lopez, who has lead Harris Health System since 2004. Mr. Masi began working for Harris Health System in 2001 as an administrator, according to the article.
"George has tremendous leadership skills and is very familiar with the operations and goals of our healthcare system," Elvin Franklin Jr., chair of the Harris Health board of managers, told the Houston Business Journal.
