Copley Hospital CEO to retire in 2016: 4 things to know

Melvyn Patashnick, president and CEO of Morrisville, Vt.-based Copley Health Systems, is retiring, according to a Vermont Business Magazine report.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Patashnick and his retirement.

1. Mr. Patashnick will retire in August 2016, after almost a decade of service with Copley Hospital.

2. Mr. Patashnick has led Copley Hospital since 2007.

3. Copley was able to accomplish a number of things during Mr. Patashnick's tenure. For instance, key clinical personnel chose Copley for their practice during this time, and in 2009, Copley established a hospitalist program, according to the report. Additionally, the hospital took over ownership of The Women's Center in Morrisville in 2012.

 4. Now that he is retiring, Mr. Patashnick plans to move closer to family so he can spend more time with their grandchildren, according to the report.
