CompleteCare Health Network CEO retires

Gil Walter, president and CEO of Bridgeton, N.J.-based CompleteCare Health Network, has announced he will retire in December, according to a recent report in The Daily Journal.

Mr. Walter's retirement will wrap up his 14-year long tenure as president and CEO for CompleteCare and 41-year leadership career at Community Health organizations.

During his tenure, CompleteCare grew from a system of two local health centers and two school clinics to a network consisting of 20 locations throughout Cumberland, Gloucester and Cape May Counties that now serves more than 60,000 per year.

Additionally, Mr. Walter helped guide the system to achieve nationally recognized standards of quality, and was accredited by The Joint Commission. Under his direction, the CompleteCare also implemented a network-wide EHR system.

Mr. Walter will be succeeded by Curtis Edwards, MBA, beginning Jan. 1, 2015. Mr. Edwards joined CompleteCare Health Network in 2004 and currently serves as the company's executive vice president.
