Cleveland Clinic welcomed Federico Serrot, MD, as its medical director of bariatric and metabolic surgery on July 10, according to a news release shared with Becker's.
Prior to the role, Dr. Serrot completed two fellowships at the Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota and a surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
"With extensive experience in robotic surgery, Dr. Serrot's clinical specialties include metabolic and bariatric surgery, gastric bypass surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, foregut surgery, anti-reflux surgery, hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery and peritoneal dialysis access," according to the release.
