Cleveland Clinic London, which opened in March 2022, has appointed Robert Lorenz, MD, as president. He will assume the role June 1.
Dr. Lorenz, a head and neck surgeon, has spent more than 20 years with the health system. Most recently, he served as Cleveland Clinic's executive medical director of market and network services, where he oversaw clinical aspects of the system's payer contracts.
Dr. Lorenz has served in a number of other director and executive roles, including as chief medical officer of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
"As both a clinician and an executive, Dr. Lorenz has a track record of driving value, growth and innovation," Tom Mihaljevic, MD, Cleveland Clinic's CEO, said in a March 30 news release. "In London, he will continue to advance our mission and culture, expand the services that we offer and further our collaboration with the NHS."
Tommaso Falcone, MD, had been serving as president of Cleveland Clinic London on an interim basis since October and will return to this former role as chief of staff and chief academic officer when Dr. Lorenz transitions to the role.
Cleveland Clinic London is a 184-bed hospital and is the system's second location in the city.
