Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems has appointed Steve Dobbs CEO of its in-state operations in Mississippi, according to an Associated Press report published by the Washington Times.
Here are three things to know about Mr. Dobbs.
1. As CEO, he will lead CHS' 12 Mississippi hospitals, which operate as Merit Health, based in Jackson.
2. The hospitals he will lead are located in Amory, Batesville, Biloxi, Brandon, Canton, Clarksdale, Flowood, Hattiesburg, Jackson, Natchez and Vicksburg.
3. Previously, Mr. Dobbs led six CHS hospitals in the Jackson and Vicksburg areas, according to the report.
