Patricia "Pat" Burns is the new president of Christus Santa Rosa Hospital–Westover Hills in San Antonio, Texas.
Ms. Burns began her role Dec. 9, according to the hospital.
She comes to Christus Santa Rosa from JFK Medical Center North Campus Hospital in West Palm Beach, Fla., where she was CEO.
She is also the former COO of Methodist Stone Oak Hospital and vice president of operations of Methodist Healthcare, both in San Antonio.
"It is a great honor to be able to return to a community that I know so very well," Ms. Burns said in a news release. "Working in the healthcare field in San Antonio, I had a very unique view of the Christus Santa Rosa ministry, and I couldn't help but admire the excellent quality and compassion of the health system's work. It is a privilege to join the Westover Hills family, and I see nothing but continued success ahead as we strive to provide the highest level of healthcare in San Antonio."
Ms. Burns earned a bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory services from University of Houston at Clear Lake City and a master's degree in health services management from Webster Groves, Mo.-based Webster University.
