Irving, Texas-based CHRISTUS Health has made changes in its leadership team to meet future challenges, according to a health system news release.
Ernie Sadau, who became president and CEO on March 1, will continue to lead the system. Gene Woods will become executive vice president and COO on June 1. Paul Generale, who previously served as vice president and chief financial officer for CHRISTUS St. Vincent Medical Center in Santa Fe, N.M., became vice president and senior financial officer of CHRISTUS Health on May 2. He is also serving as interim CFO for CHRISTUS Health until the position is filled.
John Gillean, MD, was promoted from senior vice president and CMO to executive vice president and chief clinical officer. Jeff Puckett, previously corporate vice president of business development, advisory services and managed care for CHRISTUS Health, became senior vice president and chief strategy, business development and performance integration officer. Mary Lynch, who previously served as senior vice president of human resources, became senior vice president and chief governance, sponsorship and mission officer. She also serves as executive team liaison for all CHRISTUS regional governing boards.
Gerry Heeley became senior vice president of mission integration and leadership formation after serving as senior vice president of mission and ethics. In his new position he will ensure the integration of CHRISTUS' mission into all aspects of the organization and continue to oversee CHRISTUS' compliance areas. Linda McClung, previously senior vice president of non-acute operations, corporate communications and strategic marketing services, now serves as senior vice president and chief administrative officer. George Conklin will continue to serve as senior vice president and chief information officer and will assume additional dotted-line responsibilities to the CHRISTUS strategy department.
