Irving, Texas-based Christus Health appointed Sam Bagchi, MD, senior vice president/CMO and chief medical information officer, effective April 24, 2017, according to a D Healthcare report.

1. An internal medicine physician by training, Dr. Bagchi currently serves as chief medical and quality officer at Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Ill.
2. He is also serving as interim president of the hospital, following the departure of Roberta Luskin-Hawk, MD.
3. He previously served as senior vice president and CMO at Dallas-based Methodist Health System.
4. Dr. Bagchi completed his residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston.
5. He replaces Thomas Diller, MD, as CMO of Christus, and Luke Webster, MD, as CMIO. Both Drs. Diller and Webster left to pursue new opportunities.
