Minneapolis-based Children's Minnesota appointed Pam VanHazinga, BSN, RN, vice president of patient care services and permanent chief nursing officer.
Here are four points:
1. Ms. VanHazinga has served as interim CNO since March.
2. She has worked at Children's for 17-plus years, serving in a number of management positions, such as senior director of the hospital's critical care division.
3. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
4. In addition to her nursing degree, Ms. VanHazinga holds an MBA from Capella University in Minneapolis.
