Todd Ostendorf, CFO of Minneapolis-based Children's Minnesota, resigned July 28 in the wake of a public showdown between the hospital and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, according to the Star-Tribune
Mr. Ostendorf joined Children's in April 2016. As CFO, he issued public statements for the hospital during its contract dispute with Blue Cross, in which the payer sought to cut Medicaid reimbursement rates. Children's eventually reached an agreement with Blue Cross in early July. Becky Woitalewicz will serve as acting CFO until a permanent replacement is found.
"Ostendorf made significant contributions during his time at Children’s, bringing balanced, mission-centric financial guidance to every conversation he was in," a Children’s spokesperson said in a statement. "We thank Todd for all he has done for Children’s and for his steadfast dedication to doing what’s best for kids."
