Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora has named Jena Hausmann president and CEO, effective May 1, 2015.
Here are five things to know about Ms. Hausmann and her new role.
1. Ms. Hausmann has been serving as the interim CEO of Children's Hospital Colorado since January, in addition to her role as president and COO.
2. Ms. Hausmann has served on the hospital's senior leadership team for 11 years.
3. She joined the hospital in 2004 as vice president of strategic planning and network of care operations and was promoted in 2008 to COO and to president in 2011, according to the hospital.
4. Ms. Hausmann developed and executed the organization's strategic plan, including Children's Colorado's Network of Care strategy, which offers top pediatric care close to home for families in the Denver metropolitan area, southern Colorado and throughout the Rocky Mountain region, hospital officials said.
5. Prior to joining Children’s Colorado, Ms. Hausmann worked in senior management at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis where she provided leadership over a large number of operational areas, as well as planning and business development activities.
