David McCurdy is resigning his position as associate vice president and chief enterprise architect at Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives to become Colorado's top tech official.
In his new role, he will focus on making improvements to the state's IT systems and databases, including the underperforming Medicaid and food assistance benefits management system, according to a report in The Denver Post.
He is taking over for Suma Nallapati, who was promoted from Colorado's CTO to CIO and secretary of technology in June. Ms. Nallapati also worked at CHI before transitioning into public service, according to a Denver Business Journal report.
Mr. McCurdy begins his new job Sept. 2.
