Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corp. has named Philip Trent vice president of business development for CHC Supply Trust, the supply chain services arm of CHC and CHC Consulting.
Here are five things to know about Mr. Trent.
1. He began his new job Nov. 9.
2. As vice president of business development, Mr. Trent is responsible for business development and client relationship management for CHC Supply Trust, officials said.
3. Previously, Mr. Trent was director of market development in San Antonio for Miami-based VITAS Healthcare — the nation's largest provider of end-of-life care.
4. He also developed sales teams and reversed negative sales trends in his roles with Abbott Laboratories, based in Abbott Park, Ill.; its division, TAP Pharmaceutical Products; SAVA Senior Care, one of the nation's largest providers of short-term and long-term healthcare services; and Burlington, Mass.-based contract research organization inVentiv Health.
5. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.
