As of March, Chad Eckes is the CIO of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Previously, Mr. Eckes served as chief strategy officer for the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, based in Tulsa, Okla.
"During our extensive national search, we were looking for an accomplished information technology executive with a proven track record in leading complex organizations, and that is what we have found in Chad," said John D. McConnell, MD, CEO of Wake Forest Baptist, in a news release.
