Scott Taylor will retire as CEO of St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kan., and Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kan., effective July 1.
Mr. Taylor has helmed St. Catherine for 15 years and Bob Wilson Memorial for three. Both hospitals are part of Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health.
"It's a perfect time for me and for Centura Kansas — already the largest health provider in western Kansas and as strong as ever," Mr. Taylor said in a news release. "It's a great time to turn the reins over to a new, innovative and energetic leadership that will take Centura Kansas and expand upon it to further our collective mission. I truly look forward to watching this fine system grow in future years."
Mr. Taylor and his wife plan to move closer to family.
During Mr. Taylor's tenure, St. Catherine developed an inpatient rehabilitation unit, western Kansas' only accredited breast center and stroke center and the Heartland Cancer Center. Achievements under his leadership also include affiliations with Bob Wilson Memorial, Dodge City (Kan.) Medical Center, and Plaza Medical Center in Garden City.
