Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis, a non-profit hospital operator, has announced it will not renew president and CEO Mark Eustis' contract, according to a Huffington Post report.
Mr. Eustis has been under fire from state and federal authorities for the allegedly harsh tactics used by employees of Fairview Health and Accretive Health, a Chicago-based billing and debt collection company, to obtain payment from patients. Accretive Health and Fairview Health have denied the allegations.
Mr. Eustis became president of Fairview Health in 2007. He will retire July 31. Chuck Mooty, the chairman of Fairview Health's board, will serve as interim CEO.
