James Cullen, president and CEO of Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, Conn., has announced he will be retiring at an unspecified date, according to a Record Journal report.
Mr. Cullen has served at the helm of the hospital since 2001. Prior to joining Gaylord hospital, Mr. Cullen served at The Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven as CFO since 1982. When the hospital expanded into a healthcare system, he took the reins as president and COO from 1991-1998. In 1999, he joined Catholic Health Initiatives as president and CEO of St. Joseph Medical Center.
