CEO C. Shayne George is leaving Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Ga., on May 31 for a position at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson, Fla., according to an Augusta Chronicle report.
According to the report, Mr. George said his new position is "the next step forward" in his career with Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA, which owns both Doctors Hospital and RMC Bayonet Point.
Mr. George has served as CEO of Doctors Hospital since 2004, before which he was the hospital's COO.
