Lynchburg, Va.-based Centra health system has selected Andrew T. Mueller, MD, as president and CEO, effective May 15.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Mueller most recently was senior vice president of Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health and president of its greater Charlotte market.
2. He has served in the U.S. Air Force.
3. A family medicine physician, he plans to continue seeing patients in Lynchburg after taking on his new leadership role at Centra.
4. Dr. Mueller is the permanent successor of E.W. Tibbs Jr., who resigned in October 2018.
