Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health has selected Catherine (Kate) Mohr, RN, DNP, to serve as its first systemwide chief nursing officer. She will step into the role in late July.
Dr. Mohr previously served as CNO at two organizations: Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, N.C., and Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, Pa.
At Catholic Health, Dr. Mohr will oversee nursing operations, and will collaborate with other leaders to enhance quality and patient safety, and clinical education.
"As a nurse myself, I knew there was a critical position missing on our executive team to lead one of the largest segments of our workforce," Joyce Markiewicz, president and CEO of Catholic Health, said in a news release. "Kate has the knowledge and credentials to be a trailblazer in this new senior leadership role."
