David Hamlin, RN, has joined the staff of Catalina Island Medical Center in Avalon, Calif., as the new CNO and director of patient care services.
According to a CIMC release, Mr. Hamlin's experience in clinical administration, nursing, operations services and as a professional consultant with a long-term care provider has given him the type of management skills the hospital needs.
For instance, Mr. Hamlin has already vowed to integrate the CIMC medical group office more fully into the hospital's operations by having both entities communicate and collaborate on staffing, scheduling and care delivery.
Prior to joining CIMC, Mr. Hamlin served as CNO of the Kahuku Medical Center in Oahu, Hawaii.
