Matthew Gibb, MD, executive vice president and CMO at Urbana, Ill.-based Carle, is leaving, according to The News Gazette.
Five notes:
1. Dr. Gibb's departure is a "mutual decision" between Dr. Gibb and Carle, a hospital spokesperson told The News Gazette.
2. Dr. Gibb has worked at Carle for 24 years, becoming CMO in 2014.
3. A cardiologist, he was previously medical director of the Carle Heart and Vascular Institute in Urbana.
4. Charles Dennis, MD, will succeed Dr. Gibb as CMO.
5. Dr. Dennis has served as senior vice president and associate CMO at Carle since 2017.
